Hello and Welcome We are privileged to live in the Dow’s Lake area. Some of us have arrived in the past few years, while others have been here for decades. Many moved in to be within walking distance of work at (then) Energy, Mines & Resources Canada or the Civic Hospital; others appreciated the “look and feel” and proximity to downtown. Over time there have been proposals or events that have threatened our peace and tranquility; sometimes there is a request from the City for input to its plans. Happily, there have been neighbours who have volunteered to play a role in preparing a coordinated response, or advocating to promote best practices. Examples include: liaising with the National Capital Commission each year, to ensure that the Canadian Tulip Festival enables everyone to enjoy the tulips, while residents can still have easy access to our homes.
